Remote Online Notarization (RON)

Welcome to 495 Notary Pro LLC, your trusted source for Remote Online Notarization (RON) services. We are pleased to offer secure and convenient remote notarization services to meet your needs. Below, we provide essential information about RON and how it works.

What is Remote Online Notarization?

Remote Online Notarization (RON) is a modern and secure way to notarize documents using live audio-visual communication technology. With RON, you can have your documents notarized from the comfort of your own location while still receiving the same level of security and authenticity as an in-person notarization.

Key Benefits of RON

Convenience: RON allows you to notarize documents without the need to travel to a physical location. It's perfect for busy individuals and businesses.

Accessibility: RON services can be accessed from anywhere, making it ideal for clients who are geographically distant or have mobility issues.

Security: RON technology incorporates several layers of security to protect the integrity of the notarial act and the confidentiality of your information.

Legality: RON is legally recognized in many states and countries, offering the same legal validity as in-person notarization.

How Remote Online Notarization Works

  • Schedule an Appointment: Contact us to schedule a RON appointment at a convenient date and time.

  • Identity Verification: You will be required to provide valid identification documents during the online session. Our notary will verify your identity.

  • Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA): You will also typically go through a Identity Proofing process called Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA) where you will be asked a series of 5 multiple choice questions pertaining to your personal information, which are compiled by a third party vendor, and you are required to give the correct answers to 4 out of the 5 questions within 2 minutes. If you fail the first set of questions, you will be presented with a second set of questions. If you fail both sets of questions, you will have to wait 24 hours to start another session.

  • Document Review: Upload the document(s) that need to be notarized. The notary will review the documents to ensure they are complete and ready for notarization.

  • Live Video Session: Join the notary in a live audio-visual session to sign and notarize the document(s).

  • Digital Notary Seal: The notary will affix their digital notary seal and signature to the document electronically.

  • Completion: You will receive a notarized document with a digital notary certificate for your records.

Requirements for RON

  • Valid Identification: You must have government-issued photo identification that is current and unexpired.

  • Reliable Internet: Ensure you have a stable internet connection and a device with audio and video capabilities.

  • Supported Documents: RON is suitable for various types of documents, but some may require physical presence for notarization. We can advise you on document eligibility

Legal Recognition

RON is legally recognized in many jurisdictions. However, notary laws and regulations vary by location, so it's essential to consult your local authorities for specific guidelines on the recognition of remote online notarization.
